Dr. Rosenthal is the Vice Chair for Clinical Services at the Duke University Medical Center Department of Psychiatry. He is also an Associate Professor with a joint appointment in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences in the Duke University Department of Psychology and Neuroscience. He is director of the Misophonia and Emotion Regulation ( formerly the Sensory Processing and Emotion Regulation Program founded by Dr. Jennifer Jo Brout and the Duke Cognitive Behavioral Research and Treatment Program (CBRTP). Dr. Rosenthal’s research has focused on emotion regulation in adult psychopathology, the development of novel, computer-based interventions for treatment-resistant populations, and the generalization of emotion regulation from the clinic into the natural environment using conditioned reminders of learning. He has published in scientific journals and books, including Emotion, Journal of Abnormal Psychology, Clinical Psychology Review, Journal of Traumatic Stress, and Behavior Research and Therapy.
